San José is the capital and largest city of Costa Rica. Located in the Central Valley, in the western province of the country, San José is the seat of national government, the focal point of political and economic activity, and the major transportation hub of this Central American nation. The population of San José Canton is 288,054, though the metropolitan area stretches beyond the canton limits and comprises a third of the country's population. It is named in honor of Joseph of Nazareth.
Though few people live in the city center, it is the most important working area of the country, which brings in more than a million people daily. Despite its problems, according to studies in Latin America, San José is still one of the safest and least violent cities in the region.[4] In 2006, the city was appointed Ibero-American Capital of Culture.

Day 2- San José – Manuel Antonio

Days 2-3 Manuel Antonio
Manuel Antonio is the most popular town at the south pacific. One reason for this is the unspoiled beaches that lie within easy walking distance of the entrance station of Manuel Antonio National Park. The overhanging palms are a refreshing break from the bars, discos, hotels and restaurants surrounding the park.
Besides the spectacular beaches, Manuel Antonio offers several kilometers of very well maintained trails offering the easiest access in Costa Rica to the lowland rainforest.

Day 4 –Manuel Antonio - Corcovado
After breakfast, you will be transfer to your next destination at Corcovado.

Corcovado National Park is centered around a broad lowland plain on the western Osa Peninsula that prominently features the approximately 1000-hectare freshwater Corcovado Lagoon comprising a large swamp that is seasonally replaced by grasslands. The boundaries of the park extend into the surrounding mountains and include the watersheds that drain into the basin.
The park highlands include the peninsular divide as well as portions of watersheds Tigre, Agujas, and Rincon Rivers, mainly that drain to the Golfo Dulce as well as those draining to the Pacific. Elevation varies inside the park from a low of sea level to the highest point on the peninsula, Mount Muehler at 745 meters above mean sea level.

Day 7 –Corcovado –Puerto Jimenez
After breakfast, you will be transfer to your next destination at Puerto Jimenez.

Days 7-8-9 - Puerto Jimenez
Situated in the Golfo Dulce, Puerto Jimenez has a wonderful beach where one can relax while taking in the superb beauty of the Osa Peninsula. This tiny ‘frontier’ town has a good number of hotel and resorts, both affordable and luxurious, with many rental tour companies and travel agencies in the area from where trips around the region can be arranged. Transportation can also be organized from Puerto Jimenez, while if you get bored you can head out to the lovely remote village of Cabo Matapalo, which is famous in the region for its awesome surf breaks.
With a history of being a key gold mining and logging town before the Corcovado National Parkwas created, the locals in the area still log and mine gold here, but in much smaller numbers as this entire region is now a protected habitat. In and around the Puerto Jimenez, there is much to see and do

Day 10– Puerto Jimenez - San José
After breakfast, you will be transfer to Puerto Jimenez Domestic Airport.

At your arrival at Puerto Jimenez you will take the domestic flight to San Jose to the International Airport.
Depending on your departure time, you will be transfer to the airport to take your flight back home. You must be 3 hours before departure time at the airport. And as Costa Rican said, “PuraVida” have safe trip back home.
